Court Representatives

 

This feature allows you to assign representatives to your Court Codes. These representatives can be added to documents when needed.

To Set the Cost by Court and Balance, go to Definitions, Codes, Court-Payee or from the Litigation Screen on any account click the button in the Preferred Court next to the Court Code list to display the List of Court and Payee Codes/

Select the Court Code to be Modified and click the button to the display the Modify Court-Payee Code Screen.

Setup

Hint: Representatives can be used for Court recommended legal defense firms that you are required to disclose to the consumer.

Click the button next to the button to display the Court Representatives Code Screen.

Click the button to add a new Court Representative.

Enter all the Court Representative demographic information that is available and click the button. Continue to add as many representatives as needed.

Once complete, click the button to go back to the Court Code Screen.

Click the button to select the representative or representatives for this court.

Find the Representative in the Source List, click to highlight it and click the button to move it over to the Destination List. Once all this Court's Representatives have been selected, click the button to assign them to this court. Continue with all courts until the Representatives are set.

Documents

For Document purposes, the variables start with CTR. For example the court representative's name line 1 would be CTRNAME.


Note
: The Court that has this representative must be attached as the preferred court to use these variables.

To get a secondary representative's data in a document, you will need to create a formula variable using the following variable format:

Account.Claim[].Court.Rep[2].Name

This formula will get the second representatives name on this claim's preferred court. If you needed the third representative you would enter a 3 where the 2 is in the formula. If you need the address line one, you would use addr1 instead of name.
